İnterface security systems should describe the specified object as a black box, ie via its interfaces. This applies to home security systems  as well as to components of such systems . Software has three types of interfaces:

1. User system interfaces (User Interface, GUI)
2. System-system interfaces (data interfaces such as APIs, BUS systems, sensors, actuators, web services)
3. Interface to the runtime environment
