what to do if there is someone outside your home?

hi im a 13 year old boy and im wondering what to do if there is someoine outside my home becuase when i hear things comeing from the outside i get my toy gun lol and go outside then walk around my home to see if anyone is there then i go inside the home and check my home but i cant tell if there is someone in or out of my home because today i saw footprints outside the side of my home and i followd them and it let me to the rumpis room window
but i dont wanna call the police untill i find out if there is someone outside my home or if its just a fulse alarm please tell me

Well the best thing to do right away would be to just turn on your outside&inside lights, lock all the doors and windows and dial “0″ for the operator and ask to speak to the police. Calling the Operator first lets the police know it is not emergency, and you just want some help, advice or have a fear a crime is about to happen. Just tell whoever answers to the police what happened and anything further to do.
They will probably put a warning on your house in records, just incase it actually is a robber or whatever and then they will know when/where/how it happened.
Trust me it helps you feel ALOT safer:)

I’m not certain this is real, if it is, my apologies. If you are home alone and you think someone is outside your house, call the police and tell them you think some is outside your house. Don’t go outside, if someone wants in, why unlock the door and give them access. Are you living alone? Where are your parents? Why are you the one investigating?
