If you use security surveillance cameras at your home, do you have to post a sign that lets people know?

I live in MA, if that makes any difference.

No, as long as the cameras only look at your property. Many people just buy the signs, and not the cameras, to scare crooks.

Yes–it must say”Burglars and home invaders!!!I have a security system that includes a closed circuit camera. Please use a mask when robbing me!” Sorry, I’m naturally sarcastic–of course not! As long as it’s kept to surveilling your own property.

No – it is your home and private property.

No. many people just buy signs that say they have cameras or a security system but dont. at my work were thinking about putting a dark plexiglass box in a corner and saying we have a camera to make people stop dumping.

No. I don’t think that would be a good idea. It’s like revealing an undercover spy. You should keep it as discreet as possible. Try using wireless spy cameras
