In short, it depends where you are watching them. You cannot put them in bathrooms, showers or changing areas, for any reason.
However it is perfectly legal to video record common areas where the patients are, so long as they are not bathrooms or private areas.
The applicable law regarding is § 3-901 and the subsequent sections.
Under § 3-903. Camera surveillance. Part (6) is an exception that reads:
“(6) any part of a private residence used for business purposes, including any part of a private residence used as a day care home…”
