What is the easiest set up in which to do this?

you can do a direct link or you can set up a link put a password in it.

The easiest setup is to find a pre-existing kit. The kit will allow you to set the camera up, allow you to configure your home computer to be remotely accessed, and allow the camera signal to be put onto the home computer.
You can expect to spend about $150 on cameras and software in a typical kit.
